Meeting of Deputy Foreign Minister Garen Nazarian in the legislative body of Lithuania

On May 31, in Vilnius, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Garen Nazarian, accompanied by the Ambassador of Armenia to Lithuania Tigran Mkrtchyan, met with the Vice Speaker of the Seimas and Chair of the Committee on European Affairs Gediminas Kirkilas and the Chairman of Foreign Relations Committee Juozas Bernatonis.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Deputy Minister congratulated on the occasion of centennial of Independence of Lithuania and thanked the Lithuanian Parliament for being among the first to ratify the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement.

The interlocutors highlighted the role of national legislators in the implementation of the agreement and the further development of Armenia-EU relations in general.

In the context of the development of bilateral inter-parliamentary relations, the sides underscored the importance of mutual visits of parliamentary delegations and of continuous cooperation of legislators of the two countries within multilateral parliamentary platforms.
