Meeting of Ambassador Tigran Mkrtchyan and Minister of Health of Lithuania

On June 3, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Lithuania Tigran Mkrtchyan met with the Minister of Health of Lithuania Aurelijus Veryga.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the issues of deepening Armenian-Lithuanian cooperation in the field of healthcare and underlined the need for developing relations within the framework of the new legal basis.

Minister Veryga emphasized Lithuania’s readiness to share its experience with Armenia in various spheres as well as to promote reforms in the healthcare system in Armenia.

The sides touched upon the possibility of establishing cooperation between the leading medical educational institutions of the two countries, Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi and Lithuanian medical universities.

Minister Werigan and Ambassador Mkrtchyan also discussed other issues related to closer cooperation and mutual assistance in international organizations.
