Meeting of Armenian Ambassador to Lithuania and Major of Joniškis

On June 19, Tigran Mkrtchyan, Ambassador of Armenia to Lithuania during his working visit to Joniškis met with Mayor Vitalijus Gailius.

Welcoming Ambassador Mkrtchyan, Mayor Gailius presented the measures taken by the city municipality to cope with the coronavirus pandemic and gradually bring life back to normalcy, expressing hope that the situation in Armenia will soon be stabilized.

Expressing gratitude for the reception and warm words, Ambassador Mkrtchyan noted that the medical staff and medical supplies sent by Lithuania to Armenia will undoubtedly contribute to the stabilization of the situation in Armenia.

During the meeting, the sides also discussed the schedule for the implementation of joint events and projects postponed due to the pandemic, and an agreement was reached to complete the process of establishing cooperation between Joniškis and one of the communities of Armenia this year.
