Meeting of the Deputy Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Lithuania

On February 22, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan had a working meeting with Jonas Survila, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania.

The counterparts touched upon the issues of the Armenian-Lithuanian bilateral agenda, the prospects of further enhancing the partnership, deepening the Armenia-EU cooperation, and the regional security issues.

In the context of unblocking transport and economic communications in the region, the Deputy Foreign Minister presented the "Crossroads of Peace" project developed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia as an important guarantee of ensuring economic interconnectivity and peace in the South Caucasus.

Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan briefed his counterpart on the security situation in the South Caucasus and the latest developments in the process of normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations.
