Meeting between the Armenian Ambassador to Lithuania, Ara Margarian, and the Mayor of Vilnius

On February 19, 2026, Ambassador Ara Margarian, accompanied by Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Lithuania Karapet Babayan, met with the Mayor of Vilnius Valdas Benkunskas.

The interlocutors discussed the prospects for organizing cultural events and joint projects within the framework of the 35th anniversary of the recognition of Armenia's independence by Lithuania, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the friendly relations between the two countries.

The parties touched upon the opportunities for developing cooperation between Yerevan and Vilnius, highlighting the importance of exchanging experience in various areas of urban governance, including potential initiatives for cooperation in the development of urban transport systems and initiatives in the field of green transport investment.
