Ambassador Mkrtchyan's meeting with the Rector of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences

On October 25, Ambassador of Armenia to Lithuania Tigran Mkrtchyan visited Kaunas, where he met with Rector of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Remigijus Žaliūnas.

During the meeting Rector Žaliūnas presented the history, structure and current activities of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, the possibilities of establishing legal cooperation and implementation of exchange programs between Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU) and Lithuanian University of Health Sciences were discussed.

Ambassador Mkrtchyan noted that YSMU attaches great importance to cooperation with international partner universities and is ready to establish cooperation in the short and long term exchange programs for students and lecturers, conducting joint research and implementing other initiatives in the framework of Erasmus + program.

Welcoming the suggestions of the Armenian side, Rector Žaliūnas noted that the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences highly appreciates the proposal of YSMU and is ready for the establishment and development of cooperation with the University and implementation of various programs.

The parties agreed to work jointly on the agenda for the organization of mutual visits and the establishment of cooperation in the near future.
