A Reception in Lithuania Dedicated to the 33rd Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia

On September 23, the Embassy of Armenia in Lithuania organized a reception to mark the 33rd anniversary of the Republic of Armenia's Independence at the historic Vilnius City Hall.

The event was attended by high-ranking Lithuanian officials, ambassadors accredited in Vilnius, diplomats, representatives of non-governmental organizations, and members of the local Armenian community.

The guest of honor for the evening was Seimas Vice President Žygimantas Pavilionis.

RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Lithuania, Ara Margarian, and Vice President Pavilionis delivered speeches at the reception.

In his address, Ambassador Margarian highlighted the Republic of Armenia's achievements over the past 33 years, discussed current challenges and opportunities, and stressed the importance of peace and stability, as well as Armenia's European aspirations and future outlook.

Both the ambassador and the vice president of Seimas emphasized the friendly relations between the two countries, which have deep historical roots and are based on shared common values. They also reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation.
